Job Responsibilities
- Commercial website application design and development
- Preparing functional and technical specifications in collaboration with the Project Director
- Working closely with directors and clients ensuring projects are completed on time/budget
- Participating in client meetings when appropriate and be able to discuss technical issues in a clear and positive way to non-technical audiences.
- Keeping fully abreast of latest thinking in all areas of web development
Job Qualifications
- Must have a working knowledge of software design patterns, a clear understanding of web and system
- security issues and designing for best application performance. They will be using a UNIX shell such as Bash and have a good working knowledge of Unix command line tools such as tar, sed, grep, awk and find.
- Can manage the whole Ruby on Rails Team.
- Should have at least 5 years experience in ROR and at least 2 years experience as a team head of RORs.
- 5-6 yrs of Ruby on Rails
- Experience working on multiple development project
- Solid understanding and/or experience of Object Oriented programming and Design concepts
- Working knowledge of Git
- Working knowledge of Capistrano is a plus
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Working knowledge of Apache Fusion/Passenger
