Graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from Fordham University, New York. Lawrence served as the Vice-president of Finance for many top companies including Alsons Cement corporation, Iligan Cement Corporation, Northern Mindanao Transport Co., Inc., Bulkcem Philippines Inc. and Calamba Aggregates Co., Inc. He served as Assistant Vice-president for investment and Finance in Great pacific Life Assurance Corp.
